The Genisis Of The K.V.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No – 1 Udhampur, which is crowned with the title of the SMART SCHOOL in the state, is deemed to be one of the first generation institutions of its kind in our country under KVS. It was established in 1965 under the able guidance of the founder Principal Shri Karam Singh.

Important Milestone Of Growth

In 1965 the School Started functioning
Its area is 12.5 Acres
New building was inaugurated in 1994
21 Staff Qtrs were constructed by MES in 1989.
